To kick-off the season, WMPCS Spirit Night will be held at Barnes and Nobles in Greenville on Tuesday, Nov. 15. There will be a story time at 6:45 pm with hot chocolate served to the children attending.
In preparation for the Scholastic Book Fair at WMPCS, volunteers are needed to help with setup on Tuesday, Nov. 22, starting at 12:00. The fair will open on Nov. 23, which is the half day before Thanksgiving. The book fair will continue from Nov. 28 to Dec. 2, 8am-4pm daily. Parent volunteers are needed around the clock during the book fair.
If you are interested in helping with setup or monitoring the book fair, please sign up on the front doors of each building or contact Leigh White (Mrs. Moore's room parent) or Angela Antrican (son is in Mrs. Hardee's class). Any time you volunteer may be applied toward your family's volunteer hours and provides parents an opportunity to get to know the books/products before ordering.
It is worthy to note that funds from the fall book fair go directly to the classroom teachers so that they may purchase fresh reading materials for the classrooms.
