Departure: 9:00 from the classroom; please leave a booster seat if you are not transporting your child
Travel to Aurora: by car via HWY 33 East
First Stop: the PCS Phosphate Recreation Area for play and lunch; this site is located along the river so only children with parents attending may walk at the edge of the water; please provide a bagged lunch with two beverages for your child
Second Stop: the Aurora Fossil Museum for a tour and fossil digging
Return Trip: by car via the Aurora-Bayview ferry which leaves at 2:15; the ride is 30 minutes, and riders are allowed to move about the ferry. (You may bring stale bread to feed the seagulls from the ferry.) The estimated return to school is 3:00.
Dress Code: Spirit Shirts, Uniform pants/shirts, and uniform shoes. Please apply sunscreen and/or insect repellant as the children will be outside all day.
Cost: none; a $1 donation is requested as a small "thank you" to the museum which operates on visitor and community contributions.
