Adopt-a-Marine x 2 = Love from Home

For our Community Service Project, the Gaddy/Kennedy and Moore/Anderson classrooms have adopted two marine brothers from Chocowinity who are currently deployed during the holidays.  Beginning on December 2 and monthly thereafter, our classes will send each young man a "box of cheer" from home.  As we get to know these men, our list will change.  Please take time to check for updates!

If you are interested in donating, please consider items from the list below:

Basic hygiene items: razors, toothpaste, toothbrushes, chap stick, sunscreen, deodorant
Entertainment items: CDs, movies, magazines or other reading material
Food items: Chex mix, Ramen noodles, nuts, granola/energy-type bars, chewing gum, etc.  (NO CHOCOLATE due to temp.)

  1. thanks for all your donations. I talked with their mother and she hasnt heard from them in over 30 days. Its hard to believe but true that communication is hard there. Please keep this in mind and please dont get frustrated. One sand storm can ruin communcations for extended periods of time. It can also delay shipments. im working in a time to maybe skype with them and the class. keep your fingers crossed the time difference makes it difficult.
    thanks again
