KidsFest 2011

KidsFest is an annual celebration of global diversity, showcasing the talents of all WMPCS students. This year's KidsFest is scheduled for Friday, April 15, 2011 from 5-8 pm. This event will include food and fellowship, class exhibits and booths, a parade of flags from around the world, class performances and a spectacular finale. In addition, the Spring Book Fair will be available for you to view. The details about the meal will come your way soon. Parents are reminded to bring chairs or blankets to sit on during the performances.

In preparation for KidsFest, a Campus Beautification Day has been set for Saturday, April 9, 2011, from 9-12. Your help in "sprucing up" the campus can be applied to your volunteer hours.

Also, parent volunteers are needed on the evening of KidsFest. Four volunteers will be needed to help with four duties:

1) set-up 3:45-4:45

2) food/drink 4:45-5:45

3) food/drink 5:45-6:45

4) clean up after the performances.

Sign-up sheets for these volunteer slots will be available beside our classroom door. All volunteers should meet in the kitchen at the beginning of his/her shift. This time can be applied to your volunteer hours as well.

All 3-6 parents are asked to help with our desserts this year. Please prepare 1 dozen cookies of your choice for KidsFest. These may be homemade or store-bought, but we ask that you use no peanuts as some of our families are affected by allergies. These should be individually wrapped so that visitors may pick them up without adult assistance (or tongs). Please deliver cookies to the classroom on the day of KidsFest.
